C. David Buck

David Buck began his art work as a child, drawing and painting with crayons and charcoal. He attended the oldest public school in Nashville and Graduated captain of the football team and president of the junior and senior class. He continued his education by earning a Bachelors degree in history and a Masters degree in clinical psychology. He has an extensive work history, consisting of owning and operating a dairy farm, working in a glass factory, associate professor of psychology, commercial pilot, flight instructor and psychotherapist.
David moved to Rockport TX. in 1981 and worked with the painter Simon Michel for four years. He built a large kiln and studio to develop a method of producing large stoneware pots He has been working in oil paint for over 30 years and finds the medium fascinating.
When not painting David can be found sailing Copano Bay, watching college football or reading a good history book.
David believes Art is what we do like wearing clothes or eating food. (Style and Taste) He says:
I like fresh eggs and blue cheese.
I like my clothes to be soft and comfortable.
I like Art much the same way. How does it Taste?
How does it Feel?
What we say and how we say it  in paint  is no different than in words. Looking at a painting is looking at the painter.
